Year of the Horse

How the Chinese astrology signs came about

Long ago in China, the Jade Emperor decided there should be a way of measuring time. On his birthday he told all the animals that there was to be a swimming race. The first twelve animals across the fast flowing rive would be the winner and they would each have a year of the zodiac named after them, so the legend goes...

The current series I've been inspired to create is around the Chinese astrology and will include all the twelve animals.

Of course they will be created in my style of using food and landscape photography and photoshop to create the animals and their stories. So far I've managed to complete two images - one per month. It feels slow, but I have so much stuff happening, it will just need to evolve over time.
