FINDING MY WAY HOME...

I've been feeling for a long time now that I am experiencing some kind of creative block over the past three months. I've struggled to complete any artworks that I am happy with, and it has really been doing my head in!! It dawned on me the other day that it wasn't so much a creative block I was experiencing, but I have simply been focusing on trying to market my business through various channels, and I just have not had the time to immerse myself in being creative.

Well, I got back into immersing myself this month, and I am feeling so much more connected with that creative wild animal that calls to me and draws me into it's seductive and cosy lair. It feels good to be back home...

I've designed an intricate and colourful kids height chart that I am having printed as a wall decal which would look great in any kids bedroom.

Yay, I won a Stellar Award - Digital arts california

I was pleasantly surprised this month to be selected for a "Stellar" award for an online international juried competition. The competition was amazing, so it was such great validation to be among the 33 top artists from a large international artist community.

This is part of the description on the website: "This exhibit is wide-ranging and truly international, with 436 images by 80 artists from 17 countries. The judges selected 3 works to receive a GOLD STELLAR ART AWARD and 33 works to receive a STELLAR ART AWARD. All images in the show demonstrate excellence. It is a competitive show, and having even one image selected for inclusion is an honor."

Studio Visit Magazine

Finally, I received a printed publication by mail that I was selected for some time ago - another professional juried selection. This magazine is sent out to a list of 2000  galleries and curators throughout the United States, and if they like your work, they will contact you to discuss representation. Still waiting for my phone call guys?? Hello?
