June Art Update 2014

EXHIBITION UPDATES & PLATFORM72
I have always been drawn to the unreal, the surreal, the mystical, and the magical. I remember having a bound book of Hans Christian Anderson fairy tales as a child and I can still clearly see the illustrations of the snow queen, and a dark figure of death with a long pointy finger sitting on a window ledge. It scared and fascinated me at the same time. In fact, the memories of that book have had such a strong influence on my art at some unconscious level.

May Art Update 2014

Over the Moon

HEADON PHOTO FESTIVAL 2014
Such a busy month again, I haven't had a moment to relax. I really do need that holiday very soon. I love that these newsletters allow me to reflect on what I have (and haven't) achieved during the month.

So my goal is to give up my day job completely by the end of 2015. It's a big goal I know, and sometimes scary, but I am very determined to make my dreams reality. ("Sigh" of relief now that's out in the open!) The key will be to land multiple art licensing deals. More on that next month...

April Art Update 2014

Facing your demons with kindness

EXHIBITION AT ANGEL RESTAURANT
I was really blown away at the support and turn out on the exhibition opening night on April 9! I was just so overwhelmed by it all, I think I became a zombie towards the end :-|. There were around 7 pieces sold on the night which was just so amazing. Pru Harris won a framed print on the night and she was so excited! There is still time to catch the exhibition if anyone else is planning to go.
